DDR4 RAMs coming soon to a Market near you!

Crucial, popular memory brand, known mostly for their ultra reliable SSD series, has promised computer enthusiasts DDR4 memory sticks by 2013. On their official promo page (click here to redirect), Crucial has confirmed they would bring DDR4 RAM in retail market in late 2013. DDR4 RAMs are already available, however only on commercial computers like server computers.

DDR4 RAM kits would be less power hungry, so it would have 20% less voltage requirement. Thus, the memory modules would be 100% faster than current DDR3 RAMs. Moreover, DDR3s limitation is each stick can hold only up to 8 GB memory. However, with DDR4 you will get 16 GB per stick and it will come with 2133MHz speed at 1.2V, as a result laptop users will get more battery backup. So definitely a step up from current generation of memory modules.

Dont save your money just yet. Since there are no currently available motherboard in retail that supports DDR4.
